2.What are the differences between a Notebook handheld computing device and a Netbook handheld computing device?

Handheld computing

Today we are learning about handheld computing devices, their are a few websites and videos to visit and watch.

1.What are MID and UMPC devices? How do they differ. List atleast three examples of both types of devices & include images.

  • MID-Moblie internet device.
  • UMPC-Ultra mobile portible computer.

UMPC
•Business-class device for enterprise users
•Runs a "heavy" OS like Vista
•Optimized for office-use applications like Excel, Word, etc

Types of MIDS

CPU QUIZ

Today mr lennonn is explain a bit about CPUS and on student net i am completing the questions about it.

What is the function of CPU?

A CPU also Know as a microprocesser is the heart of any computer, and is a complete consumption engine that is fabricated on a single chip.

What is the name of the first CPU?

The first CPU was the intel 4004, introduced in 1971 and it was not very powerful. It could only add and subtract and process 4 bits at a time.

Referring to the graph on page 2 of the article, describe how the speed of CPU’s has changed.

From 1974 to 2004 the CPU have changed in speed dramaticly some of the first ones 8 and 16 bits and as the years went past they doubled in size after 16 it went to 32 and the 64. Also the clock speed and MIPS has increased as well

What does MIPS measure?

MIPS stands for "millions of instructions per second" and is a estimated measure of the performance of a CPU.

Research (Google it) what is a dual core processor, what is multitasking and how do the two work together.
A multi-core processor is a processing system composed of two or more independent cores. One can describe it as an integrated circuit to which two or more individual processors (called cores in this sense) have been attached.
